I want to take birth control pills this month on the 13 so I'll get them around the same time next month. Do I have to be on my period to start birth control pills this month? Will my period start immediately this month and will it come around the same date next month? I could really use some help. Thank You so much.

It's not a good idea to start birth control pills just to time your periods better. But no you don't have to be on your period to start the pills, but starting in the middle of your cycle means you won't be protected as soon. I couldn't say what it will do to your period the next month, it will mess with your cycle though and change the timing for several months.

And there a pills these days were you don't have to have a period every month. Just 3-4 times a year. So if you start them this month you should be period free next month. Or at most have a little break through bleeding until your body adjusts.
