writes: I have been with my ex boyfriend for 2 years and we have been broken up for over a yr. We have 2 children together. He cheated on me with his brothers girlfiend and is with her. He has been broken up with her for about 2 weeks. He called me and wanted to talk. He wants to date me again and he says the reason why we broke up is cause he was trying to push me away cause he was afraid of falling in love with me and said he is sorry and that he made a mistake, He thinks that we can make it work. I told him I really didn't want to cause I don't want to go through more crap with him. I told him that I think his ex is going to be back even though she has a boyfriend now. He has taken her back a few times. He tells me not to worry, that he wants me to beleive him and trust him and he wants me to be there for him and make him love me. I haven't heard from him for three days now so I am asumeing he is back with his ex. He said he might be in love with me he just don't know how to say it. I don't know whether to beleive him or not, I certainly don't trust him even though he wants me to. On the other hand, we were not together I have been sleeping and trying to go out with his older brother. My ex nows that. He says that He likes me and would go out with my but is not ready for a new relationship. Of course his ex cheated on him with my ex. I really like him but I am still trying to figure out whether he really has interest in me or if he just said it to not hurt my feelings. and he also said that he is not using me for sex. I am confused on what to do. I don't know if I really still love my ex. I need to know if I should try to work it out with my ex or if I should leave and try to get with his brother that I like alot. Or should I forget them both and find someone new. I think I do still love my ex I am just afraid he will leave me again. I like his brother but he shows no intrest like calling me.

reader, anonymous, writes (11 January 2006): Honey you are going around in a very dangerous circle that will lead to an emotional downfall. I would not worry about the brother because that should not even be considered. It will lead to a lot of trouble and from the way he acts by not calling you that should show you that he thinks the same thing. As far as your ex is concern just let it go. You may feel love for him because he is the father of your children. Why would you want your children growing up seeing you sleeping with their uncle? This entire web will affect more than just you and the guys the kids are involved as well. Concentrate on your kids and the welfare of you and them and move on. If a man can only miss you and "might" be in love with you after another woman "leaves" him then you do not need him. Make sure he is financially responsible for those kids as well as emotionally and get the devil out of this mess.
