Hi agony aunts! Well lately I'm concerned that I'll never live up to my mom. When she was a teenager she was really pretty and skinny and quite the ticket. Ok i am not lying when i say this but this guy who liked her went to the mental hospital because she wouldnt go out with him and one guy is gay now, for the same reason. (The gay guy could be a coincidence) and she always had boyfriends! I am not as skinny. Im not like fat or really chubby, except like a little but I'm deffinatley not as skinny as she was. And I seriously just got done with a workout to lose weight. Oh and I'm alot taller than my mom is. I've only had a couple steady boyfriends including one right now. (Maybe thats good?) My mom got older and got big, but still I just feel bad im not like she was. Other than skininess i pretty much look like her. Except she had "Grown up teeth" haha and my teeth still havent "come to gether alll the way. Anyway is it bad i think like this? What should I do?

aunt honesty agony auntYou do realise you are not your mother and you never will be, yes you may look like her in certain ways, but even if you where as thin as she was, what is it that you are looking to achieve? Rest assure that she did not turn some guy gay, that guy just took some time to come out of the closet, but no girl can physically turn someone gay. As long as you are fit and healthy then you need to stop trying to compare yourself to your mum, you need to be happy being yourself, why would you want to try and be someone else? You have a boyfriend at the moment and if you are happy then you need to let this go or else your self esteem is going to drop.
