My DR told us there should be nothing to stop us trying to fall pregnant again as soon as we felt ready. My next period came about 5 1/2 weeks later...no luck despite a very "good effort". I am now 5 weeks post that period...and have done two home tests that came back as negative unfortunately. I am wondering if any of you have been through a similar process...and whether it can be "normal" for my menstrual cycle to be so long/messed up? How will I even know if/when I am ovulating with this weird cycle?Prior to my first pregnancy (am blessed with a healthy happy 15 month old)my period was always VERY regular! We fell pregnant very easily that time too.Should I be worried - or more patient?

I thought i would have ovulated at around 14 days after cycle started, so I made sure we had intercourse like every day for like 12 days and then took pregnancy test and they were negative. I noticed a few weeks later that I had a side pain and saw white discharge. I went and bought a ovulation kit and sure enough I was ovulating and this was at 30 days after my period. I am now 10 days after ovulating with some signs of being pregnant, no cycle yet and very sore nipples. I want nothing more then to be pregnant and can't wait to take a test I am waiting 4 days for a more definite result.

Thanks so much for your warm wishes and prayers - unfortunately I had my second miscarrige a week ago, I was 8 wks this time. My husband and I are devastated - it seems worse this time. The first time was hard - but we thought it was just bad luck...then it happened again and it is hard now not to feel like something might be wrong - or we might never be able to have another baby...it's all pretty raw right now. I hope with time I will feel strong enough to try again. I feel sad that any pregnancy from here on in will be tinged with such fear and anxiety - I also realise how truly blessed I am with my beautiful, healthy son.
Thanks for caring.

Had a test at Dr about 3 wks ago that was nagative again. I am just wondering if anyone else out there who has had a miscarrige had this complete mess up of your cycle? Why would I get my period 5 1/2 wks after the miscarriage and then not get it for sooooo long? Is this "normal"?? Or better - is this common?

I think when you miscarry you learn to appreciate that child so much more when they finally come into the world. Don't be too worried or stressed about it. It will happen when it will. Just relax and enjoy each other for now.=)
God bless
