In anyways I have been off the pill for the last year and now no longer using condoms. My boyfriend and I had sex umprotected sex on the 7th, 8th and 9th before he left to go back to work amd so have not had sex since as he is gone for a month. My question is my period is not due until this thursday or friday although i had a bad day and decided I couldnt wait any longer so i took a test. It was negative so what I really want to no is there still a chance it could become positive or am I more dan likely not pregnant this time round.Kind Regards

It may be too early right now to know if your pregnant, cause I did nearly the same with my fiance when I had moved in with him for a week. I took the first test once, came back negative. Then like 2 days later, took another... came back negative. So, yea. I think it may be a little too soon.

Isn't it something like 6 months that is the average for a healthy couple to get pregnant.

I think there's still a chance, love. Your pregnancy hormones may still be quite weak, especially if you have a slightly longer cycle than average. Repeat the test in a week if your period is overdue. Fingers crossed for you...

That was less than 2 weeks ago...a test usually won't be accurate in that short of time. It's best to wait a few days to a week after you've missed your period. Sometimes maybe the day before it will show up positive, but I wouldn't trust it too much if it was negative. Just wait and see if you get your period before taking another test.
