Torn between two lovers

Question - (24 June 2011) 2 Answers - (Newest, 25 June 2011)
A female Philippines age 30-35, *roken nice girl writes:

I'm in love with two men. The other one is my ex boyfriend (Jan) and the other is my friend (Matthew). Jan just broke up with me recently this month. He actually broke up with me twice for two consecutive days. He broke up with me because he is so hot headed that he decides stuff when he is emotional. I know its pretty stupid but then I still love him.

Then out of nowhere Matthew comes along and comforted me through the days that I was feeling down. He showed me how much he loved me and confronted me that he loves me. Spending time with Matthew made me realize that I might be falling for him since he has been there since Day 1.

I opened up to Matthew and told him the situation I am in. He told me that even if it would hurt him, if I decide to go back to Jan, he would understand. He also said that he'll just agree on what makes me happy.

Jan does not know anything but Matthew does.

I desperately need help! What should I do??

a_maldita agony auntThis is simple and you just have to choose from both guys which one you want to love. And yes it's impossible to love 2 person at a time... you mistaken confuse yourself for loving the 2nd guy because your at not so good situation. You can't have both so either you choose one or lose both...

A female reader, hilary United Kingdom +, writes (24 June 2011):

hilary agony auntYou cannot be in love with two people at the same time! Most are only ever in love once in the whole of their very long life. You can fancy two men or like two men or be fond of them, but not be in love with them. Anyway, being in love means you are totally in tune with them. You do not hide things or have secrets or live separate lives.

It may be that neither of them is right for you. Why is it so important to have a man? Lots of people are totally single and have no man in their lives and are very happy.
