Its now 4 days later and i just got my period this morning, i had a basketball game and i had to stop playing because my cramps were so bad, they are usually really bad, i went into the bathroom and threw up then went home and took some medicine for the cramps, is this just my period, is it because i played basketball too hard during it, or is this a sign of pregnancy? Please tell me if im alright..

Take a test just to be sure. It's almost definitely nothing but sometimes when ur pregnant you have a light bleed at the beginning which people mistake for a period even though it's actually not.

It depends whats normal to you. Some people have a brownish bleed. For other people it's bright red. If it's always brown don't worry. The main thing you need to look for in this situation is whether it was heavier or lighter than normal and check for clots (sorry I know that's kinda unpleasant)

To put your mind at rest i would do a test next week when all has settled down. If you are still worried then go along and have a work with your doctor.
Take care

No, you are not pregnant. But I recommend you get on the pill ASAP. I am 31 and have had bad cramps and PMS since I began to menstruate. The pill will help the pain and protect you from pregnancy. BUT still use a condom - the pill doesn't protect against diseases. You are young, far too young for babies. Do the right thing and protect yourself and your future.

If you just got your period this morning, then I'm thinking that you're just really feeling crappy.. sometimes I throw up if my period is that bad. The cramps and ugh!! I suppose because you were playing basketball, you might've just pushed your body a little too far.
Spend some time off of your feet and eat some ice cream...

Some people do get nausea and vomiting with their periods but that tends to be girls a lot younger than you who have just started their periods and whose bodies are adjusting to the fluctuating hormone levels. The truth is that if you've had a period (which is normal and not lighter than usual) and if you haven't had unprotected sex then it's unlikely that you're pregnant. However some girls do continue to have periods through pregnancy and condoms aren't 100% foolproof. If you're worried do a test just to be sure but to me it doesn't sound like you have anything to worry about.
