Sometimes I wouldn't be staying with my girlfriend but would have the urge, or there would be other times when sex wouldn't be on the menu, maybe it was an inconvenient time for sex, or her time of the month, so I would masturbate.
As for how often, well that's classified lol.
My advice to you would be:
Whenever you feel the urge and whenever masturbation is more convenient than sex (But pretty much, just whenever you want to really, its completely your choice).

Well, I'm still single for the moment.But back in the days where I was in a relationship - of course I masturbated.Whenever I felt like it.
