Hi im 18 and have just come out of a 3 year relationship.

Previous to this i was incredibly shy and never really talked to anyone. This relationship i had was petty bad as the girl i was with would not let me talk to other girls not that i did before anyway, but my problem is now that i do not know how to start a conversation with a girl, and i cannot keep a conversation going or seem interesting or funny, i dont know how to be.

so please could i have some advice on what to talk about ?

thank you all :)

My partner was so shy that for the first few dates, i didn't even think he liked me! But he had already explained to me that he was really shy so i gave him some time and after a few dates he started talking. So if you meet someone you like, just apologize and explain you are a bit shy and you don't mean to be rude if you come across as quiet. Most girls will understand and be fine with you if they know whats going on. Also do you chat to people online? If not give it a try and start practicing communicating with the opposite sex. It can be fun, you might make some new friends and it will help you to learn how to converse with girls. I don't know the book the other poster is suggesting but i would certainly try it. All the best.

buy Neil Strauss's book The Game and also the follow-up Rules of The Game. it worked for Russell Brand.... also worked for me, I can honestly say that I can talk a phone number out of any girl anywhere... it's about understanding how conversations work and how to start them. honestly, buy the books, you'll thank me!
