if you want to be a computer engineer then would'nt it be wise to get a good education? no one will hire someone who has amazing experience with computers but has no qualifications. go to school and limit yourself to an hour a day on the comp.

If there is career advisor or a counselor at your school maybe you can talk to them about helping you work out a time managment plan so you can work your time for your education better. From what I know to be a computer engineer you need to have good grades, so it would be better for you to put a bit more focus on your education and homework so you can achieve that goal. Maybe even a teacher you feel comfortable talking to may be able to help you work out a time management plan, and once you have it in place, stick to it. Good Luck.

If time spent on the computer is interfering with your education and effecting your grades then it is a good idea to balance out the time you spend with the computer to the time you spend on homework.
I guess your father just wants the best for you and wants you to succeed.
Try and balance both homework and time on the computer.
Goodluck
