Time has healed my wounds to certain extent, but as of yet, it hasn't brought a new girl to me! I hate being single!

A male United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I've had a big kick backwards as far as moving on from my ex is concerned, tonight.

I'd had a good evening, came up onto the computer where I got an e-mail from the site "Friends Reunited". I decided since I hadn't checked it in about a year to go take a look. When my profile loaded up, there it was - a nice big picture of me and my ex-girlfriend, smiling happily together on a beach. So, lets just say that has opened up my wounds a little.

You might think that that would be normal for me to feel like I do had it only been a few months, but we've been split up for nearly a year now!! She was my first girlfriend, and I was with her for 2 years. I haven't had a relationship since then, and I really would like to get myself into a new one! This is all adding up on me.

A relationship that devastated me is still able to bring me pain almost a year since past, and in the mean time, I can't find myself a new girlfriend. I feel a little pathetic and undesirable.

What can I do. Time has healed my wounds to certain extent, but as of yet, it hasn't brought a new girl to me! I HATE BEING SINGLE! HELP ME!

Fairy_Lu agony auntFirst loves are always remeber and you always feel something for them but you do have to move on, or else you will continue living in the past and never letting yourself heal.

Join a club do online dating go out with your friends dont sit back and wait for a girl to appear from thin air because it isnt going to happen you have to socialise and meet people the more you sit and wonder about your ex the more your going to isolate yourself, your single you may hate it but enjoy it and the right girl will come along
