Question - (17 September 2011) 3 Answers - (Newest, 20 September 2011)
A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Last thursday (9 days ago) i had unprotected sex with a friend i know and trust to be clean of any sti although the proceding events has got me worried.

On the sunday i noticed a cluster of red spots on the tip of my penis no smell or irritant but was just there and a strange sensation when i passed urine. I took it upon myself to visit the gum clinic on the wednesday (during the period leading up to this visit i applied vaseline on my penis daily and the spots seem to be disapearing)

The clinic preacribes me clotrimazole believing it to be thrush however i wanted to know how long it will take to go and what the stinging when i pass urine means.

Do i have chlamydia? I was tested but the results are not back yet really worried

Honeypie agony auntCall your doctor and ask about the results.

chlamydia is a nasty thing to spread. If it turns out to be chlamydia I strongly suggest you tell the last partners about it. Also, no matter how much people "claim" to be STD/STI free, stay safe, parctise safe sex. It's not that hard to do. Also, they may not show any signs of STD/STI's.

tennisstar88 agony auntWith the bumps and painful urination it sounds as if it's chlamydia.

Thrush is nothing but a male yeast infection. There can be white discharge, it will be itchy, and occasionally the tip of the penis can be covered in blisters.

But we're NOT qualified medical professionals, so it looks like you're going to have to wait till your tests come back and ask the doctors how long it will take to clear up.
