This guy wants to get serious but I don't

we were childhood friends. We started to get close recently. he likes me and I like him too. we have been on a couple of dates but it's been about a year since I got off a relationship whoch was 3 years long. I am having a hard time trusting guys since then. so this guy wants to get serious but I don't. atleats for now. and he understands my situation. so we are pretty much chilling. there's one other thing that really bothers me it's that he has had about 5 ex girl friends and he even had sexual relations with one. so if I end up with this guy I don't know if I did the right thing because I care about feeling right and him being all mine and making me feeling special all the time. what should I do. please help
