You are terribly young, and he is terribly old for you, if he were interested in dating you, it would have taken him about two seconds to decide and a minute to ask.
If you want to be sure if he has good intentions or is truly interested in dating you, then don't ask him out. He knows you like him and he isn't asking for a reason, like he isn't into you.
