The thought of pregnancy makes me very nervous and scared, what should I do?

A female United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

OK, so i feel weird asking this, but I can't ask any friends or family. I am not a young teen, but I'm not like 18 either and I know a lot of families with kids and I don't wanna have kids when I grow up and get married. I always think about adopting. So last night I had this dream where I was like pregnant with twins and I was really happy and even after i woke up I could still feel how happy I was, but in my dream I had a miscarriage and I feel weird. Am I just being superstitious and dumb or is it justified for me to be nervous and feel weird? I would really appreciate some answers cause if I told my family they'd consider sending me to rehab and if I tell my friends, they'll just freak out!

I'm 25 and married and the whole idea of growing a living baby inside me and then squeezing it out through my private parts (ripping them along the way) is utterly TERRIFYING!

Some women just don't want to go through that.

You are perfectly normal and just because your entire life's ambition is not to squeeze out a couple of kids and struggle with them for the rest of your life doesn't make you a bad person.

Go off and find other dreams. Have a think about how far you could go in your career. The world is your oyster when you don't have kids.

I plan on getting a dog one day but I quite enjoy travelling and working long hours in a job I love and getting places in life.

Good Luck!! xx

No your not silly at all. Been pregnant is an amazing feeling, but it is also nerve recking in that the developing baby inside you depends on everything you do, hoever hen you give birth and hold that baby for the first time it is so rearding and a feeling no one can take from you. I had my first baby 6 eeks ago.

I thought I as over reacting as I got nervous everytime I ent to doc, but hen I asked friends they said it as perfectly normal.

Hope this helps
