Question - (7 January 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 16 January 2011)
A female Nigeria age 36-40, *plicit4life writes:

I really love my girlfriend and i don't play games or double date, in fact i hate it. There is hardly a thing about me that my girlfriend does not know. Every day of our life, i always tell her how special she is to me and how much i TRULY LOVE her. But no matter how i try, she still has this jealousy anytime she sees a text message about people i have told her about and this makes her suspect me and mistrust me. This really Hurts me because i have no skeleton in my cupboard and yet she is not satisfied.

Advice?

A female reader, aunt honesty Ireland +, writes (16 January 2011):

aunt honesty agony auntOk your girlfriend has difficulties with trust issues. Remember that no matter what you do or say these issues are hers and not yours. You say you have done nothing wrong but no matter how much you try and convince her of the truth she is not going to believe you. This is her problem though and not yours. Maybe she has been cheated on in the past or someone has broken her trust. You need to tell her how her insecurities are effecting you and tell her she either needs to get help with them or else there is no future for the both of you because you cant put up with this behaviour.
