I suggest you sit back and wait, try and become a friend somehow, maybe once he gets set back on this he will appriecate the fact you care (yet dont use this as to go into a relationship because then it wont be for the fact he likes you, it will be because hes been rejected)
If thats not pssible just let him live his own life and move on hun, You'll find someone who loves you one day =] x

Do nothing. What you do will not be appreciated. Let him learn his own lessons in life.You can prevent him once but you cannot prevent him from falling down all the time . He has to learn how to walk by himself. It is like the story of the butterfly larvae trying to shed of the cocoon .If you help him , he will not grow up properly.
A one sided love does not bear fruit. If you have a fruit tree and it does not bear fruit, what good is it to you?
