A male United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I need help. I met this woman a couple of weeks ago and to me, it seemed like we really hit it off. She had recently gotten out of a bad relationship so I figured I should take things slow. I got a phone call the other day and she told me that since it's too soon for her to get into a relationship and for now, we should just be friends. Which, I really had to problem with, because even if it's just friends, she's a lot of fun to be around.

this past friday, I met up with her at the bar she waitresses at to do a lil karaoke (kinda how we met) and except for a few time she made her rounds, she pretty much hung by me the whole night and it seemed like she was giving me every indication she was interested in more than just being friends. Well, last night, she invited me over to watch a movie with her but as I was on my way to her place, she calls to tell me that one of her guy friends will be joining us. well, we're all there and watching the movie and she's pretty much snuggling up to her other guy friend the whole time, holding hands n' whatnot. she did hold my hand for a lil bit, but that's it. meanwhile, I'm getting very uncomfortable because it feels like I'm the third wheel in this scenerio and should leave them for their privacy.

so right now, I am in unknown territory. I don't know if I should just cut my losses and forget about any thoughts of a relationship with her or if this is some game she's playing. What do you think? Am I screwed?

eyeswideopen agony auntSounds like some weird game she's playing. Hang in there a little longer and see how it plays out. You can always cut and run if needs be, I mean what have to got to lose at this point?
