The ex: Neither of us will say that we still love each other

Question - (2 January 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 2 January 2010)
A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I just spent an amazing evening with my ex boyfriend. Unfortunately, we're not together and haven't been for several years now. The part that makes this so complicated is that I know I'm still deeply in love with him but I haven't said anything. He know's that I still love him and I know he still loves me, but neither of us will say it. He just broke up with his girlfriend a few days ago and he immediately called me to let me know that it was over with her. I'm just extremely confused because I am still so in love with him and he's still one of my best friends. We haven't been together in about 5 years but we've always stayed in contact, regardless of anything. What should I do?

Slow right down. He's just broken up with his girlfriend, and has come straight back to you? Red flag there. You don't don't

want to be the rebound. He was an ex for a reason, so slow down and get to know him again. Don't be used.
