The ex and me--he was bad but sometimes I forget and miss him!

Question - (11 November 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 11 November 2009)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I need help getting over my ex! He and I dated for a year and a half, but he ended up being a huge jerk to me and a pathological liar, so I ended it about six months ago. We were on and off for about a month after until I finally cut off all contact with him.

The problem is that even though I have so many reasons to dislike him, as time passes I end up forgetting the bad things and missing him. Every month or so he has tried to make contact with me, and in doing so reminds me why we aren't together anymore. With this new fuel to the fire I stay strong for a couple weeks, and then start missing him again. How do I break this cycle so I can finally move on?!

Thanks in advance!
