A female United Kingdom age 41-50, Starlights writes:

The Art of Being Happy

The key we have been given in this life which sets us apart from any creature living on this planet,

is that as humans, we have free will to do good or bad. To ourselves or to others.

Simply We have a choice. We can choose happiness or unhappiness in any moment!

"People are just as happy as they make up their minds to be," -Abraham Lincoln

People spend there whole lives trying to achieve things outside of themselves deluded that these "things" will make them happy. They become "lost" in that fantasy... and lose sight of who they are and themselves in the process...

"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened! " -Dr. Seuss

The undeniable truth is that we can choose happiness everyday in any given moment, this is the blessing we all are given.

The free will and choice to be happy! What will you choose today?

"If you wish to be happy,...,think not of what is to come nor that of which you have no control over but rather of the now and of that which you are able to change."

-Christopher Paolini

Happiness is not dependant on anyone or anything... its like the wise say "happiness is a journey" its the journey of replacing old negative thought patterns with positive ones, its the art of learning to allow, its the choice of being liberated from pain and suffering.

If you make the decision to choose nothing but joy in any given moment, doors of lovingness that would never have existed will open for you!

"If more of us valued food and cheer above hoarded gold, it would be a much merrier world." -J.R.R. Tolkien

Have Gratitude for the clothes you wear, the food in your fridge, the friends or family you have, the job that pays your keep, the streets you walk on, the freedom of expression... (i could go on) Gratitude it will free you from your minds hell...

"Are you happy? Remember now, cheers, no tears...!" - Marilyn Monroe

So go on, make that choice to be happy, you deserve it!!!!
