We have been together over a year and a half and i love him so much. i spoke to him about the messages the night i found them and he admitted that he was stupid and agreed to delete her but the next day when i spoke to him he just refused to and went back on his word but he then promised he wouldn't have online private chats with her, but when it came up in conversation last night i asked him if he was keeping to his promise and he said he wasn't and that i was being pathetic and overly jealous we had a huge argument about it and i don't know what to do ? i know he wouldn't cheat on me but im really worried

Flirty text and wont delete, I think your relationship might be in trouble. I think, from what you have written, you have every right to be asking questions.
If he is unwilling to acknowledge your feelings are hurt, and your concerns there isnt a lot you can do about his behaviour, all you can do is decide if you are willing to accpet his flirting with other women, and maybe more, or not.
