I have been talking to two lads (never met either of them) i am very close to both of them and the 1st one luke we have been talking for about a year now and we are very very close we talk on the phone and were having a relationship for a while but now were r just close matezs we talk about everything together. But then bout 1 month ago i started talking to this other lad called Paul, me and him clicked straight away and i have argreed to meet him. Should i tell luke that im going to meet Paul,or would it hurt him to much if he knew that i was meetin another lad for maybe the start of a relationship.i know all the dangers of meeting people off the net and im perfectly fine wiv thm so please no lectures.i dont wanna hurt luke though becuz i reali like paul and i think theres more ov a chance tht we could have a relationship than i do wiv luke...what should i do?

reader, anonymous, writes (15 June 2007): Just go for it, if there was anything more between you and Luke than friendship then you would of hit it off by now. Just be honest with Luke and tell him that your going to meet a lad called Paul, if he get's funny then let him, if he's such a good friend to you then he will be cool with that, if he does get funny then obviously deep down he wanted you.Go and do it and you will soon find out...

 You say you have never met luke before but you are close friends and talk about everything, so if you are that close why not tell him and it would be very good that he knows who you are going out with and where you are meeting.

 If you're not actually dating Luke, but you're just close friends, you don't have to tell him straight away that you're gonig to meet someone else. But, if you start finding that you like this other guy Paul, and start getting into what seems like a more romantic relationship with him, then you should tell Luke just to be up front. It's ok to hold back some information from a friend, if that's what Luke is. Just don't hold back for too long if it becomes important.

 If you and the 2nd guy start a relationship than shouldn't you be honest with the first and tell him you are meeting another guy and something might happen. You could wait to see how it goes with the guy your meeting.
