Strange period?

Question - (25 April 2009) 2 Answers - (Newest, 25 April 2009)
A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

For the past week or so I have been experiencing mild cramping in my abdomen. I also feel twinges / pulling sensations in my pelvic area. While walking down the stairs one night I felt something pulling on the right side of my pelvis for just a couple steps. Just now I felt a sharp pain right above my pelvic bone that lasted less than 5 seconds until I shifted positions. My hips are also sore. I should add that I have gotten occasional dizzy spells, headaches, and have had a light runny nose for a couple days.

Last week I had an abnormal period (really short in length, heavy for 2 days as opposed to 4 or 5). Two days after it ended I experienced watery brown spotting only once when I wiped.

I would think I am pregnant with the symptoms I have, but the "heavy" day of my period has me thrown off. My breasts have shooting pains once in awhile, but I cannot say they hurt or have gotten any bigger.
