Keep healthy is the first step. For this you need to minimize sugar intake, and maximize yogurt intake by eating not by putting it on or in your vagina. Why yogurt? Simple, really. The bacteria in your vagina is a certain type that is in only a couple of foods that you can find in the grocery store. It just so happens, though, that yogurt contains good bacteria called acidophilus. Sugar, meanwhile, promotes the type of bacteria that the yogurt bacterias, if you will, try to kill off. So, as said before, minimize sugar, and maximize yogurt, sugar-free preferably. stay away from douche they can take away good bacteria so a simple wash cloth and plenty of baths and showers will do try to stay away from scented soaps or produce water is the best cleaning method for the vagina. cotton underwear is also best as its more breathable leaving your vagina area to sweat less. and if you do decide to use soaps make sure your rinse well! good luck aphex xx

Your sister's friend may use yogurt as a treatment for a yeast infection, but if she is in fact using it for regular cleaning, she maybe giving herself the problems she believes she is treating.
Your body is fine the way it is. The vagina has it's own cleaning cycle and chemical balance. Don't be made to believe by other women or advertising that you need to "clean" or "freshen" it. It is not a dirty organ.
