 I don't know of any American men who like it really, really hairy. All of us at least want it trimmed; some guys enjoy completely shaved, or with just a "landing strip." Personally, my last girlfriend was completely shaved, and it worked great on her.
Not sure it matters much at 13-15, though. That's too young for guys to be getting a good look.

 Keeping it shaved is a huge hassle, plus most guys find the stubble irritating. Any guy you're with should like you no matter how you choose to style your pubic hair. Just keep it clean and trimmed.

I like hairy but neat and trimmed, I don't like shaved (but of course don't mind either) the prepubescent look doesn't really appeal to me.
