Problem is, though, I've been smoking for the last two years and I'm yet to tell my mum. I hate being dishonest with her because we're very close but I figured that sneaking around and having a cigarette whenever possible at 18 is dumb, pathetic even but I just don't want to hurt her.She won't stop me, she's not the sort of parent to say what I can and can't do at 18 but I'm worried I'll hurt her.How can I tell her?Any answers will be much appreciated. The chances are she already knows. A non smoker can smell it from you hair and clothes its a very strong smell even if you cant smell it.
As you say your 18 and old enough to make your own mind up on this.
Seriously though try and give up while your young, not only for the health benifits but think of the financial savings too.

Tell her that you're sorry you're killing yourself with cancer, and that it's nothing personal.
Seriously? Why smoke? I watched my great uncle die of cancer because of smoking. Not something I want someone to see.
Either just tell her, or don't. I'd personally recommend giving up.
