either way, she is your friend and she trusts you, don't betray that trust with a lie. Let her know what's going on, how you feel or don't feel about him, and how you still are her friend and don't want this to come between you.
If you are honest with her, she should have no reason to be upset.

 just don't lie. if she asks who you're seeing, then admit it to her, otherwise i wouldn't bother.. it's really none of her business who you sleep with, even if it is her brother.
