If the sharp pain is in her abdomen then yeah you are probably hitting her cervix. When this happens the pain transfers through to the ovaries (hence the pain being felt abdominally) and is supposedly about the equivalent of you guys being hit in the balls.
I get it at times for a few days, and then not at all for ages, ... not really sure why it comes and goes - might be something to do with where in a cycle a girl is, but can't say I have paid enough attention to notice any pattern,... but changing position a bit helps (like her keeping her back up in doggy instead of dropping her chest, etc) as does the guy taking it a bit easier.
.... hmmpphh, ... and here are all these guys thinking bigger is better - haha- not! :-)

Hey sweet thing,
Well, you're probably hitting her cervix. And that can cause a sharp pain. Enter into Google "sex, pain, cervix" or some combination of those words and you'll find lots of articles on this exact problem. Things you can do to solve the problem:
a) use lube and foreplay! It will be that much worse if she's not completely relaxed and lubricated.
b) don't enter her quite as far. Have her put her hand on you while you're penetrating so that she can have some control and keep you where you ought to be.
or
c) CHANGE POSITIONS! If you want to be deep inside of her, go into a position where it's not going to hurt her.
There is always the chance that there is something medically wrong with her and that's worth checking out. Especially if this is a sudden development in your sex life, and if it's recurring. I have a feeling that you are simply tapping her cervix during sex, but there's no harm in being careful and being sure that she's fine healthwise.
Good luck, sweetness!!
