What kind of personal favours, if sexual...then NO he shouldnt. If its just little things like...getting him a good deal on a caer or something along them lines...then it should not be a big problem. Is this friend male or female, Tell him you want to meet them, and dont rest untill you have. Make sure you are meeting the right person, especially if this friend is a woman. Dont let them meet in secret and things like that.

OK, start by defining "personal favors". If you're talking about another girl that he has sex with, I'd say you probably have a serious problem. But I'm afraid your question is a little too vague to really admit of a definite answer.
If it's anything short of another lover, you should ask him to introduce you to this other person. This friend is obviously a very important person in your boyfriend's life and that person should be a part of your life as well.
