Should we tell her?

Question - (9 October 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 10 October 2010)
A female United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

Laura - my best friend

Mike - my boyfriend and my best friend

Fabio - Mike's best friend and my good friend

Well Laura likes Mike ALOT. She knows that I like him as well and that he likes me. What she doesn't know is that we are going out. Fabio and two others know about me and Mike going out. Fabio says that Mike and I should hang out together alone sometime but we can't with Laura constantly tagging along. Should we tell her?

A female reader, followtheblackrabbit Cayman Islands +, writes (10 October 2010):

followtheblackrabbit agony auntYes, tell her. Imagine how hurt, left out, and betrayed she'll feel if she finds out for herself? It's better to let it out now. Tell her yourself. Don't let someone else tell her since that person can twist things around and make you appear to be a terrible friend. Trust me, I know how these things work. It's going to be a bit difficult since she really likes Mike, but it'll be easier for her to get over if she has no reason to be mad at you-and keeping such information from her definitely will hurt and anger her. Best of Luck!
