However, he is willing to pay to see a relationship councellor (which I am not). Why does he want to see one if he wants out of the relationship? Do you think I should take up on his offer? Definately not. If you are at the apathetic stage there is no point trying to patch this up. Move on and find your true love.

Those quirky little things about you that annoy the daylights out of him, in time you will find someone who just adores them.
Don't change for anyone! Also, hopefully you don't/ didn't allow him to make you think those traits are wrong, and become ashamed of them.
