You need to weight it out. Is sex important for the possibility of losing a friend? It's not absolute but it has happened. I've talked to many people who their first they claim was a huge mistake. You need to judge what you want. Coming on here asking if you should or not, that's up to you, it's your body and you do with it what you choose.
Getting drunk to do it, you may get too drunk that you really don't remember your first time.

It's not at all wrong to do it with your best friend though you need to accept there will be inevitable consequences to your decision. By this, I mean that your friendship will change. What concerns me more about your post (and don't worry I'm not going to say your age although that too is a factor) is tht you're really not sure about it. It would be wrong to take a risk on anyone you don't feel 100% certain of. If you do plan to have sex then make sure it's safe by going on the pill in advance. Don't let any guy tell you that it's safe to have sex as long as he pulls out. You wouldn't need to read many problems on this site to find out that's not true.The only other thing I'm going to say comes from experience. I was a virgin until I was 20 and around the time I was 18 me and my best guy friend decided to have sex. We tried three times and each time he stopped us, saying that he'd changed his mind. In the end I was glad I waited for the guy I waited for but the point I'm trying to make is that sex will make an invariable dent on your relationship whether you do it or not so prepare yourself for stormy weather ahead whatever you decide to do.Good luck petal.Cat
