I think statistically couples finding outside help fail within 3 years anyway BUT it depends on the problem and hey everyones different. Sometimes by talking to strangers it helps other times it makes you realise you just aint gonna put up with the problem anymore. try talking together first maybe a weekend away in neutral terratory xxxx

I think one to one would be best, but I wouldn't exclude marriage counselling.
The marriage counsellor can help you see better. However, in the end, you will have to deal with your issues one on one. And the recommendations you get from the counsellor might feel like wrong.
I would think it's best if two people are willing to take the bull by the horns and discuss their issues sincerely and trying to make things work out.
