Then the optician sent me through to a woman who didnt realise there was a lense already in my eye! so first of all she told me to put a contact lense in by myself (yes, TWO lenses in my right eye)..and she didnt instruct me on what to do.. Being my first time I panicked when i couldnt get it out of my left eye, after 30 minutes of her "watching" me clawing at my left eye i burst into tears.... i NEVER cry at anything, i just felt so frustrated and embarassed..should i write a complaint? after this happened the woman didnt show any empathy at all- it was my first time ever wearing contact lenses and she was meant to show me what to do, but she just sat there!.. You are a customer they are providing a service.
Do it.

If you had a terrible experience, sure you should write a complaint! I've had the exact same experience with contact lenses, aren't they a bitch?? And it doesn't help when the trained professional across from you won't even show you how to put them in!
I'll tell ya, I couldn't get them in either (even though my lady showed me) and I left in a puddle of tears too. I'm sticking with glasses.

Yes complain - if its a chain store then tell them what happened and you are surprised at this reaction, not what you expect from a leading brand etc. use the same words they use in their mission statement.llike we put customers first - so you say i dont think i was put first...
