Should I wait for her to get over the breakup before I ask her out?

A male Belgium age 30-35, anonymous writes:

There's this girl I've met about 4 months ago, I learned she broke up with her bf after a 4 year relationship, and about 3 months later she found a new bf, but about 2 weeks ago he ran back to his old gf breaking her heart.

Truth be told, I liked her since the moment I met her. We started talking to each other more and more these past few weeks, she keeps telling me how much she likes me, enjoys my company etc etc. I would really like to ask her out and tell her how I feel about her, but I hate putting myself on the spot. I'm not fully convinced there is even a small chance she feels the same way. Also since she recently broke up I think it might not be the best time, do you guys agree I should wait some time to let her recover and wait it out?

aunt honesty agony auntShe has just came out of two relationships one after the other, and she has a broken heart, so yes am sure she is enjoying your company at the moment because you are there to pick up the pieces and stop her feeling so lonely. I think personally it is a bit to soon to make your move. Off course you should still be a friend to her and show her that you care but I think you should give it a little while longer before asking her out. Just read her body language and see how she is responding to you as the weeks go on. Good luck.
