When everything seemed to be going nicely her closest cousin passes away and it affects my relationship with her. I was going to ask this girl out and i even kissed her

in that day that all this happened. So now i dont know what next cause i feel that she isn't avaliable for me to address her now cause of wat happened, she is kinda depressed. What should i do? Im really in love with this girl and i can't wait anymore to ask her out. In the past Ive waited so much and things became complicated. I'd appreciate some reply.
