A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Ive had a crush on this guy ryan since freshmen year(Im a junior now)at the end of freshmen year my x bff who knew I liked him went out w/him, they broke up that summer. Be4 I got my chance to show him how i feel he starts dating a girl named Shelly. Year later they broke up I finally thought I had my chance then his aunt whos raised him died. I wait a month to let him grieve. Still to shy to tell him face to face I email him under a fake emailadress. After I send the 1st email i go on faceebook, and i see ryans relationship status changed from single to in a relationship. He emailed me bac not mentioning his gf. I email sayin it was weird emailin him while he has a gf, but he said that didnt matter we r only talkin. So we've been emailing now for two weeks. so my question(s) is should i keep emailing him in hope he falls for me? and also i want to sound charming and sweet any tips on what to say, and don't say be urself plz?

xAx agony auntI think that if you like him enough, let him be happy. By all means continue to talk to him, but don't steal him away from someone as that's being selfish about your own feelings. Use your time with him to bond in hope that he may naturally realise that he likes you.

Nice things you can do - if it's his birthday soon, organise a day out with you, his friends and your friends. Good ways to bond with him would be to do things he likes e.g. playing xbox with him. Of course, you don't want to only seem as a best friend to him, so when you are doing boyish things or when you are ever with him, dress up! Look nice! So hopefully when you two are bonding he can become even more attracted to you.
