Should I talk to him about this? it's eating me up...

A female Australia age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Hi

i have a boyfriend who i've been with for about 3 months now. but recently because he's started working full time and we live about an hour away from each other i only really see him on weekends. i'm fine with this i guess, i would like to see him more, but i understand he needs his space. but all these kinds of things make me feel more and more insecure. i don't get to see him that much, we don't talk much over the internet cause i don't like having a relationship based on that since my last boyfriend.

with online profiles it makes it hard not to look at stuff...he's recently become friends with a girl who works at a store near his and she commented about how she gets to see him nearly every day...this made me cry so much, cause i don't get to see him but this girl, that lives closer to him and works near him and is decent looking, obviously likes him enough to have randomly added him, sees him more than i get to...

i guess my question is...i do trust him and he has said before he would never leave me for someone else, cause he cares about me...but all this physical distance lately makes me so insecure...so do i talk to him about this or not? i don't want to seem needy or anything, or come across as overly jealous...but i don't know what to do, and this chick makes me feel really worried. and my boyfriend does mention stuff like "how come you have to live so far away?" and i think jokingly "yeah, i'll look at other people, if they're there, why not?"...

what should i do, should i just discuss this stuff with him? and if so, what do i say so as not to appear too jealous, irrational or needy
