A female United Kingdom age 36-40, *arriebaby writes:

I was in a minor car crash on sat nite when out in the town with my friends. We were in a black taxi and another taxi company crashed into the side of us, flinging us all off our seats. I cut my face on the handle of the taxi and it's quite a nasty cut.

My mum etc are saying that I should definitely claim as it was the other taxis fault and because I got cut.

What you think IIshould do? is it worth it you think?

You could get a lot of cash, but you could also put the other cab company out of business because they will no longer be able to afford insurance.

Suing is a very American thing, although it's also out of control on the continent as well.

Did you know in Germany if you collapse in the street and an off duty paramedic is walking past he will now NOT EVEN STOP and check you are ok, because he'll probably get sued for doing something or not doing something.

It's up to you and your ethics what to do with this. If there is going to be a scar and money would pay for surgery to get rid of it then yes, but if it's just going to be a bonus for you this month then it's up to you.

Good Luck!! xx

Ed1337 agony auntIf you were all wearing seat belts then sure go ahead and claim, if not then you could probably get the driver into trouble as he is responsible for making sure his customers put belts on.

I know someone who got around £2,000 when someone hit their car, because they had a slight neck injury.
