Should I still persue her even though she has a boyfriend?

Some time ago, I asked a girl who i fancied if she would like to go out sometime. She said sure and we swapped numbers.

But she didn't call. It turns out that she has a boyfriend - and i'm guessing that she said 'sure' so she didn't hurt my feelings.

But recently, I've been working with her on a project, and she tells me that she's fed up with her boyfriend and she's not happy with him.

The next week, she starts to flirt more followed by telling me how great her boyfriend is the next day. This left me devistated and confused - I thought i was getting somewhere.

I then see her in a bar with her boyfriend. She looked bored and kept looking over into my direction.

She tells me how great he is etc., but I just don't believe it.

My questions are a) am I right to follow my intuition and still persue her? b) if I shouldn't, how do I get over someone who I've been longing for for at least a year?

Anon, first you said you traded phone numbers, "but, SHE did not call"..(?) Hey, dude, most girls, even in this day and age, expect the bloke to call...(duh). I think she has given enough hints that she doesn't think her present boyfriend is that great. What are you waiting for? Call her!
