Should I stay with him hoping he'll stop going out so often and for so long with his friends?

A female Ireland age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I've been with my partner for 3yrs and have a one year old baby, my partner goes out 3 or 4 times a week for hours with his friends sometimes doesn't come home for days and will never answer his phone if I try to contact him, he almost missed the birth of our baby because I couldn't contact him. I've tried talking to him about this and he then makes an effort for a few weeks but always goes back to his old ways, I really do love him but now I'm thinking I've had enough and deserve to be treated better,

Should I stay with him and hope he'll eventually change or leave him and try start a new life on my own with my baby?

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question, that's what I was thinking too just needed to hear it from some one else to make sure I wasn't over reacting. So now all I need to do is pick up the courage to tell him to move out I've have enough.

Thanks again great advise
