Should I see if chemistry develops? Or break it off now?

Question - (28 November 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 29 November 2010)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

On Saturday, this guy and I went on a very short date - an hour long. We're both 16, juniors. I said let's not kiss, because he had a coldsore. So for half an hour we went round town in the cold with his arm round me - this guy is in a class with me, and I don't really know him. That night, he came into work and offered to take me out after I'd finished, AND on Monday night, and when we were going round town he was asking what I wanted for CHRISTMAS and stuff - we don't really know each other.

Anyway, since I got home, he's been on facebook on my wall loads, and he's changed his relationship status to in a relationship. Thing is, I think it's weird - we've only been on one date, and we didn't even kiss - and tbh, I'm glad we didn't. He doesn't EXCITE me or give me butterflies - but he is really nice, and I really like him as a person. Should I cut him loose and upset him, or see if chemistry develops and he stops being so clingy? Because idk what to do :(

Cut him loose before he gains even more interest in you. You could also be sending the wrong signals. Just tell him you think of him more as a friend.
