I just got in an argument with my boss well basically his my general manager. And I do not know what to do or if I should do or say anything tomorrow..

He said that I have a nasty attitude and a nasty way of answering his questions.

So I apologized because he also said I said something disrespectful which I did not but so there wouldn't be any arguments I yet still apologized and yet there came an argument.

I will admit I tend to answer or speak with no way of showing interest or attention but honestly I have always been that way I can not change how I am?

He said I should talk nice? And respect him? He doesn't respect anyone he thinks his ideas are better and when it comes to your opinion you suck

I don't know what to do tomorrow morning since we work face to face all day and are in the same office.

I can not just talk to him nice" We are at work and even if we weren't I can not stand the way he treats people.

aunt honesty agony auntThe thing is people might not like the way he treats them, but they will decide either to put up with it and respect him as a boss or look for another job. I know that he may be your fathers friend but that doesn't mean that he will be yours at the work place. If you don't want to leave then you need to just be a good employee don't answer back and follow his instructions.

Yes, you do have to treat your boss with respect if you want to keep your job.

Believe me, I have worked for some real jerks over the years and it was sometimes very hard to bite my tongue.

I would start looking for something else right away. Because it seems like you and your boss are not a good fit and he will fire you pretty soon. Get The Jump On It So you don't get caught flat footed.

Everyone here dislikes the way he is. its like he doesn't agree with anyone's opinions and if he says something we should all go for it but if someone else says something he literally ignores it. I would change jobs but i just started and we use to be ok as in work and out side of work he is my dads friend so I never though he'd be this type of person.

aunt honesty agony auntIf you cannot stand the way he treats people then I think you need to look for another job. Unless he is bullying or harassing there is not a lot you can do here. He is your general manager and therefore you need to talk to him with respect and if you don't well then it won't look credible for you in the work place.

Has anybody else have a problem with him or is it just you? At the end of the day I think you need to respect someone who is in a higher place than you at work, it does not mean that you need to accept bad behavior and if he is treating you very badly then you need to go to someone higher than him and make a complaint. If he is not then you need to hold your tongue and get on with your work, if you can't then I suggest changing work place.
