 You'll only find out what his motive is by getting to know him. Hang out with him casually for a while and talk to him. He may be on the up-and-up and then you'll know. But don't introduce sex too early. If you're not sure whether he wants you only for sex, don't have it with him. If he bails, you'll know.
My better question is this: do you really want to date someone from work? What happens if it doesn't work out? Will you have to leave the job?
