We are going for a pint tomorrow and I'm starting to get anxious. Ive never dated so I'm worried about making a tit of myself. I Hang around with girls from time to time but just wanna make sure it goes well for experience if anything else. Any advice???On the smoking front I have been trying to quit for a while and this week I have started to take champax so will be off them in a week or so. It was partly due to her but mostly for myself. Should I mention it? Reply to this Question Share |

Believe me... if you've been smoking tobacco, she will detect it.....
Your best bet is to "come clean"... and reveal to her that you have been smoking and are trying to stop..... IF she gives you a pass.... you damn well better STOP, STOP NOW and NEVER pick up a weed again!!!!
WE (former smokers) are the WORST for detecting and abhoring smoke (smokers).... so don't think - for a minute - that you can take a smoke when you are not with her....
IF she's worth dating.... then she's worth giving up cigs to get and keep her attention...
ON THE OTHER HAND... if you have 1/2 a brain, you will give up the cigarettes, anyway.....
Good luck. Let us know how things go....

I can't see what harm there is in telling someone you are trying to quit smoking, BUT I wouldn't tell her it's partly for her. Not on a first date. That is a little TMI.
Just tell her that you are trying to quit smoking so you might be a little jumpy - I think any girl can appreciate that. Just make SURE you check and see if you can drink with the medication.
And Good LUCK!
