Should I let on I know she fancies someone else?

Question - (7 November 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 7 November 2009)
A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I had a thing with this girl about 2 weeks ago. My girlfriend found out and we broke up. We got back together soon after.

Now, the girl I had a thing with and I are really good friends and she has just told me that while we were split up, my girlfriend told of her feelings for another boy (currently in a relationship) and how she would love to be with him. But she made me promise I would not tell my girlfriend that I know she has said this.

This puts me in an awful position. I either grit my teeth and live knowing that my girlfriend has a thing for another guy, or confront my girlfriend and lose my best friend in the process.

I know she forgave and forgot what I did, but I'm not that type of person.

Whats a guy to do... :/

A female reader, anonymous, writes (7 November 2009):

Depending on how much this friend likes you, your girlfriend having a 'thing' for someone else could be up for interpretation. You should really not take any relationship so seriously at this age. If your girlfriend didn't have feelings for anyone else ever I would be surprised. Try to focus on your own self rather than the thoughts of others. Perhaps you will realize you find things you like in others as well. You're too young to fret over one girlfriend. Peace, good luck
