A female reader, didda123 United Kingdom +, writes (23 January 2009):

didda123 agony auntWell it seems that it has cooled off with your ex but i think it is very insensitive of your sister to want to persue a relationship with him at this stage.

You are still very upset about the break-up she should be supporting you not trying to worm her way in with him.

I would try your best not to contact him again experience tells me that this will only drive him away more. If you give him a little time he may even decide he misses you.

You are very young i would try to stop dwelling on the situation, get yourself out more with your friends and family.

I know it is difficult but you need to occupy yourself keeping your mind busy so you have less time to thing about the situation and begin building your self esteem after the knock you have just taken.

The sooner you are getting out enjoying yourself more the sooner you will put yourself in the position of meeting someone new, someone who will value you and before you know it you will have moved on.

Good luck and be strong x
