Should I just tell my friend that she doesn't NEED a boyfriend?

Tagged as: Friends<< Previous question   Next question >>
Question - (7 November 2005) 1 Answers - (Newest, 9 November 2005)
A female , anonymous writes:

Ok, my best friend gets attached so easily to every guy she thinks has good qualities. The newest guy ended up being a complete jerk, and now her self-esteem is crap. Our last conversation: "I'm fat, I'm ugly, and that's why no guy wants to be with me."

What should I tell her? I tried the "You don't need a guy" explanation, but she just says that she's lonely, this and that. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! :)

if she's lonely tell her to try and spend more time with her friends. tell her not to jump on every guy with the slightest interest in her. tell her she deserves someone as nice as she is and she should not settle for someone just because he's there
