I love a lot, and he is not capable of giving me the love that I need in return. Now we are seperating, but have talked about staying in touch and maybe one day we can be together again. Of course before that can happen we both need to be independent and love ourselves before we can love eachother the right way. My question now is, do I go on expecting that we'll never be together again? Or do we talk about being exclusive and working on our independance while still keeping in touch?

I think you should keep an open mind about getting back together or not, there is no point holding on to hope that one day you will be together because you might only get hurt and you will just be prolonging the pain, try and accept that it is over and go out and enyou yourself with your friends.
